For the dramatic finale of New York Fashion Week, Marc Jacobs proffered an interesting, utilitarian take on 1920s styles in an array of shocking synthetic materials. Opening the show (and boy was this a show in every sense of the word!) was a Bob Fosse-esque arrangement of the models draped on chairs across the set. Marc Jacobs incorporated an eclectic mix of Jazz Age drop-waisted pieces, sportswear, space cowboy looks, and straightforward knee-length skirts in shiny plastics and dusty blues, greys, and greens.
